Default Give Razah a full set of skills upon achieving him.

Very simple...

Give him a full set of normal skills when you finally get him.

Perhaps give him a full set of elite-skills too, or not. Thats debate-able.

This would every easily fix the disadvantage to those who dont own factions.
It would alteast make Razah usefull from the word go.
And it would make him feel alot more worth the while, after playing through DoA.

It would make sense in terms of storyline if he was fully equipped.

When you achieve him, hes lvl20 and hes born of the mist. So he exists inside the Real of Torment which is a very dangerious place.

Doesnt it make sense that a person who is born in the RoT and from the mists, would be fully equipped and possess full knowledge of his abilities?

Just an idea and a very simple one if you ask me.

No. If he comes with Nightfall skills only, then that's what he comes with. It will then make those who haven't purchased Factions to go out and buy it if they really REALLY feel like they need a Ritualist hero in their party, or just buy the unlock pack from the online store.

Just because I got Norgu over Goren my first time around doesn't mean I should automatically get all Mesmer skills.

Id agree with you if it wasnt for the fact you get him at the end of the game, and you have to do a rather time consuming elite mission to get him.

Plus Heroes which you unlock after completing the last mission can still be used in the game when completing their alternative missions and quests, AND they can be used in DoA the first time around.

They serve a purpose.

As for Razah, hes rather useless. You do litterally get him when their is NOTHING left to use him for.

He serves no purpose other then to farm, or grind through DoA which youve already done.

So yes, to only give us 5 or 6 skills isnt very satisfying.

If you compare him to other heroes in the game, whom your given from the start and up until half-way through, then its not the same.

Heroes who you are given from the start or half-way way still have plenty of time to unlock new skills, and achieve skill-points.

Razah doesnt.

Where does he get his skill-points from? and if has none then how do you gain them?

Hero skill-points are earned by increasing rank in sunspear and lightbringer.

If he doesnt have any, then we're stuffed until they find a way to earn more sunspear points and earning lightbringer points is just boring and the equilivant to farming (which Anet doesnt like).

So at the end of the day we're left with a Hero with no skill-points (assuming) who we cant lvl up.

So he cant get more skills for free, which means we're expected to go purchase a secondary profession we might never use and use up our skill-points and our gold to purchase them?

How is that far?

If im wrong about the skill-points then I accept that. If im right then Id say ive found a major flaw with this guy.

fish, I got some news for you.

The reason they dont give him skills and make him look uber cool or whatever is to get people that dont own Factions to buy it .

Hmm... so it was all a plot to make people buy factions! SNEAKY! I say just go buy factions, you can't PvP without the Factions skills anyhow (well, you can't PvP very WELL)

"Nightfall is a stand-alone product." - GW website

^

Not so much when you consider that the end game reward is stunted and disfunctional w/o owning Chapter 2.

Though I have all three chapters, i recognize that this is not in everyone's budget. Some might have to scrimp and save to get themselves a single chapter. If they choose the latest one - not concerned because it is advertised as a stand alone - they get a wee bit ripped off with that final reward. And i think it bears mentioning again... THE MANUAL SAID S/HE WAS VARIABLE!!!!!. I hope the press release that comes out this week will address how the Manual said Razah was one thing, but the actual product was something else. (though i won't hold my breath)

/notsigned - on the principle that s/he shouldn't be a ritualist to begin with.

Wow, your right. But then if I dont own factions and prophercies, how can I already have 100% and protector on both.... mystery.

I do own them. But I still think its unreasonable to give a reward at the end of the game which is just soo utterly not worth it.

Well they dug their own grave when they made Razah a ritualist in Nightfall. No idea why they didn't make him variable. So yeah, if you're going to make a ritualist in Nightfall, at least give him more than 6 skills. Maybe 10 for each attribute, no elites. Not every one has Factions, and with Factions being the lesser liked of the games for many... well, reputation spreads fast.

I dont think Anet cares if you have 100% and protector on both or every thing in the world...

They do this for new players not just for old ones, so the new ones can buy factions,
example: 12 year old kid sees razah as a challenge and he finally got it, none of his friends have it yet but he suddenly realises, "wait, i cant even use this without factions", 12 year old kid goes and asks his mummy and daddy to buy him factions for xmas, get it ?

Not fair to people who brought a ritualist through the game already. What's the benefit to them? They've already unlocked all the rit skills they need/want.

nightfalls is stand-alone... you dont need to get razah and he's not required to finish the game.

If you get Razah and want to do more with him than to just say you got him, then go buy factions. otherwise, who cares?

Wait, isn't Wielder's Boon a Factions skill? That really makes Razah more of a joke than he already is.

Make a Rit, play through noob island and when you hit Kaineng you'll have enough money / skill points to buy some good Rit skills. Continue if you want, or delete it. Who cares.

It's not gonna happen.

Nightfall is a standalone product. Even giving the NF Only people a Rit hero is retarded. Razah should be as he is in the instruction booklet, a variable profession.

I do think that he should be a lot cheaper to acquire. There's nothing special about the Razah hero that puts him above the other hero's. Except for his price.
